Todd Harrell, the bassist for the band 3 Doors Down, has been arrested for a DUI yet again in D’Iberville, Mississippi! This comes just a month after he lost an appeal to overturn his guilty conviction of a July 2012 DUI in D’Iberville, Mississippi. Harrell is also facing vehicular homicide charges in Nashville, Tennessee.

On Tuesday, February 18, 2014, a driver called police about an impaired driver on the road. Cops found Harell “slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle.” Harrell was apparently driving a family member’s SUV.

“On arrival our officers made contact with the driver and there were signs of his being impaired,” D’Iberville police Chief Wayne Payne told the Associated Press.

Police got a court order to take a blood sample from Harrell and turns out he was under the influence of a substance other than alcohol.

“We don’t know what the substance is at the time. We sent a sample on to the crime lab for testing,” Payne said.

Harrell was released on a $1,789 bail that was set by the Municipal Judge Albert Fountain. A court date has yet to be made.

Harrell was arrested for a DUI in July of 2012 in D’Iberville where he faced a $1,000 fine and was required to spend two days in Harrison County Jail. However, his jail sentence was suspended if Harrell could go six months without getting into any legal trouble.

Harrell is also facing vehicular homicide charges in Nashville, Tennessee. In April 2013, Harrell was driving under the influence of prescription drugs and alcohol. He hit another car resulting in the death of 47-year old Paul Shoulders, Jr.

Harrell’s legal troubles has caused him to back out of the band’s world tour.
