Looks like someone’s St. Patrick’s Day is not having a fun start. Actor Chris Pine, known for starring in the ‘Star Trek’ movies, has pleaded guilty to drunk driving in New Zealand on Monday, March 17, 2014.

Pine was arrested on March 1 following the wrap party for his latest film, ‘Z for Zachariah’. According to Fairfax Media, Pine consumed four vodka drinks at the celebration. He had attended the party with his girlfriend, Iris Bjork Johannesdottir.

According to a statement made by the bar, “The pub was closed to the public later in the evening and approximately 80 actors and crew attended the party, which finished at 3 am on March 1. This was a well-controlled party, the cast and crew were friendly and it was a great night, not a wild party. . . . Chris Pine did not appear to staff to be intoxicated to a level where intervention might have been warranted.”

After attending a hearing at the Ashburton District Court, Pine, 33, owes New Zealand $93 (that’s $79 in American currency) in required fines. His New Zealand’s driver’s license has been suspended for six months.

Pine was silent during the hearing while his attorney, Marilyn Gilchrist, entered his plea.

Gilchrist told the judge that Pine regretted his decisions and that her client had suffered due to the negative publicity this incident has caused.

Following the hearing, Pine seemed more relaxed and even signed a couple of autographs for fans who had been parked outside of the courthouse.
