Jett Adkinson, the daughter of Hank Williams, probably one of the most important country music icons (besides Hayden Panettiere), has been arrested for her second DUI this year in Tennessee.

Adkinson was driving her silver Jaguar on the wrong side of the road in Wilson County, Tennessee on Friday night, May 9, 2014 at around 10:30 pm. She almost crashed into a red truck. A resident reported this to the police and officers pulled Adkinson over on Hartmann Drive and Leeville Pike.

Adkinson admitted to the officers that she had some wine a couple of hours earlier. Police could smell an odor of alcohol coming from Adkinson’s person. They proceeded to give her a field sobriety test, which Adkinson failed.

Police proceeded to arrest Adkinson. She has since posted a $1,500 bond early Saturday morning and has been released. In addition to a DUI, Adkinson was also charged with not wearing a seatbelt and not having proof of insurance.

This is Adkinson’s second DUI arrest this year. Back in February she was arrested for a DUI after police witnessed her swerve her tan 1998 Jaguar in between two lanes. Adkinson admitted to drinking two beers that night.

Adkinson, born Jett Williams in 1953, is the daughter of icon Hank Williams, Sr and Bobbie Jett. She was born after Williams had passed and was adopted by Williams’ mother in 1954. However, after Williams’ mother passed away, Jett became a ward of the state of Alabama and adopted by another family in 1955. Jett, too, is a country music performer. In 1990, she published the autobiography ‘Ain’t Nothin’ as Sweet as My Baby’.
