Did you enjoy watching Justin Bieber’s deposition video yesterday? Well, it turns out the pop star will be back amongst lawyers and judges on May 5, 2014 for his DUI trial.

On May 5, Justin Bieber’s trial will begin as he faces charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving with an invalid driver’s license.

At a hearing on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, prosecutors stated that no plea offer has been made for Bieber. Bieber has pleaded not guilty to these charges.

The trial date was postponed after a kerfuffle over a video that was released that shows Bieber taking a urine test on the night of his DUI arrest.

On January 23, 2014, Bieber along with R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff were arrested for drunk driving after cops witnessed the two drag racing. However, Bieber’s BAC results were below the legal limit. He blew a .02 BAC. The legal limit in Florida is .08. Needless to say (almost), other tests show that Bieber had both marijuana and Xanax in his system.

Bieber faces some serious charges if he’s convicted. The consequences for a DUI in Florida can include jail time, probation, community service, expensive fines and the installation of an ignition interlock device. An ignition interlock is one of those thingys you have to plug into your car. In order to start your car, you have to blow into the device. If the device detects alcohol, your car won’t start.

However, with the help of his attorneys, Bieber plans on fighting his DUI charges as there were discrepancies in the police report by the arresting officer.
