Reports are surfacing that the linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals was arrested for a DUI in DeKalb County, Georgia. John Abraham is facing his second DUI after being busted on June 29, 2014.

According to Georgia court records, Abraham was arrested for drinking and driving, as well as parking or standing in a prohibited place. He was taken to jail at around 5 pm on the 29th but released five hours later.

Apparently, Abraham has not been showing up at training camp practices. There’s little information regarding Abraham’s absences and whether or not it has anything to do with his DUI arrest.

Cardinals’ general manager Steve Keim commented to Arizona Sports 620 about Abraham’s failure to show up for practice, saying, “I’m not concerned at all. He’ll be back at some point here.”

Chances are Abraham is feeling pretty terrible about his most recent DUI arrest. He was previously arrested back in 2003 when he was playing for the Jets. Apparently, Abraham crashed his car into a fire hydrant and a light pole. He pleaded guilty to those charges.

Almost a year ago, Abraham was interviewed by AZ Central about his DUI arrest. Obviously, that incident was something he regretted.

“I’m not going through that stuff again,” Abraham had told the publication. “It’s a bigger headache than it’s worth. I got mine one time, and one time is enough. It’s brought more pain than it did anything else. That one night of partying wasn’t worth all the things I had to go through.”

It’s a shame that after stating how hard a DUI is to deal with, Abraham went ahead and got arrested again.
