Even though he’s quietly tucked away in rehab, the world’s favorite mayor Rob Ford is STILL making the news! How does one achieve this kind of celebrity, I ask you?

Apparently, a lady-friend named Lee Anne McRobb, took Mayor Ford’s Cadillac Escalade for a bit of a joyride on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. McRobb ended up getting mc-arrested for a DUI in Muskoka Lakes Township and Ford’s prized Cadillac Escalade got impounded for seven days. McRobb is due to appear in court on June 17.

On Tuesday, police responded to a traffic complaint. According to the police report, “The vehicle, a black Cadillac Escalade, was stopped by Bracebridge OPP officers on Muskoka Road 169 at Butterfly Road in Muskoka Lakes Township, where the female driver and lone occupant was found to be impaired by alcohol.”

Apparently, McRobb was coming from the GreenStone rehab facility, where Ford is currently seeking treatment. Sources told ‘The Toronto Sun’ that McRobb was actually seeking treatment at GreenStone, as well.

However, when reporters attempted to gain information from her at Northland Towing and Recovery, she didn’t provide that many details, let alone why she was behind the wheel of the mayor’s vehicle in the first place.

“It doesn’t matter. That’s for me to know,” McRobb told MooseFM’s Carly Verhoeven. “You guys don’t need to know.”

When asked about if she sought treatment at GreenStone she responded, “I was but I’m out of there.”

She even denied a personal connection with Ford when asked if she knew him.

“Everybody knows him,” she said. “He’s on the news.”

She concluded, “I’m not going to comment on this right now, I’m a little emotional.”

While news sources haven’t gotten Rob Ford to comment on McRobb and her DUI, his brother Councillor Doug Ford said that he was unaware of the incident and will investigate. Dennis Morris, Rob Ford’s lawyer, stated that he does not know McRobb or her connection to Ford.

“I have not spoken to [Mayor Rob Ford], he’s in rehab as far as I’m concerned. There is no allegation (Ford) was behind the wheel – that’s good news,” Morris stated.
